MÅURICE is a culinary love story, meticulously crafted by Chef Kristen D. Murray, and it finds its essence in the intersection of her French and Norwegian heritage. Founded in 2013, named after her beloved rabbit + longtime mascot. MÅURICE is a place where flavors dance in the lightness of exquisite ingredients, and where the table becomes a canvas for stories, poetry and togetherness. This is where old-world charm meets modern day. 

The Journey

Kristen’s culinary journey began amidst the vibrant flavors of her great aunt’s Southern California garden. Ripe fruits, fragrant herbs, and exquisite produce were the building blocks of her earliest desserts, kindling her passion for the art of pastry. Developing a personal style takes years and years to cultivate + explore. Working in fine-dining kitchens for over twenty years helped assist in her driving force to work with small producers, to become a custodian to her partnered farms + tight knit community.

MÅURICE is more than just a restaurant; it’s an embodiment of  kindness, love + celebration of the season. We work imaginatively within the northwestern climate, maintaining a light foot print in the fragile eco-system. By maintaining strong, trusting relationships with our suppliers, producers and small farmers, we are able to help support our tight-knit community.

Our wine list is a tribute to small, natural wine producers, carefully curated to complement our dishes. We also offer an array of teas and vermouths, each carefully selected to enhance your dining experience.
